- Architectural Tour: Learn about the many architectural features of the building, including its Neoclassical Revival style with Art Deco influences.
- Behind-the-Scenes Tour: Go beyond the public areas and discover staff‑only spaces at the Indiana State Library, giving visitors a rare glimpse into the work that preserves and protects Indiana’s history.
- Family History Tour: This orientation tour provides an in-depth look at the library’s genealogical holdings, perfect for genealogists and family historians. You can request a tour for as few as two people or for a larger group.
- Flexible Research Orientation Tour: Receive guided instruction on how to navigate the library’s resources. A condensed tour may be requested, as needed.

School Tour Groups can explore the State Library, enjoy a guided tour, and learn about Indiana. Many groups choose to combine their visit with a tour of the Statehouse and the Statehouse Education Center.
Please park in the Senate Avenue parking garage directly across from the library and bring your ticket in for validation.
